Making the most of Holistic Treatments
Healing, therapies and natural medicines are whole-person centred, not part-person centred as in orthodox medicine. In other words, we work with the person who has the imbalance or dysfunction, not with magic bullets for the ailing part. Getting out of balance or getting sick results from a process that may have been going on for some time and it follows that recovery must also be a process. In addition the effect of these ‘whole-person treatments is cumulative!
- For a specific complaint, commit to a minimum of 3 sessions within one month to know the level of benefit a particular therapy or modality can provide.
- For relaxation and managing stress book individual sessions as needed, but commit to a regular programme of follow-ups (monthly, bi-monthly, or even 6-monthly) to maintain the good effects.
